No Self-Control

Instead of working on the finishing touches for this

I have been obsessed with finishing this

I have absolutely no discipline when I get into a good book. I refuse to tell you how late I stayed up last night finishing this page-turner. But I did it, and I now can get back to work on this

I've only got the borders left to do. I am eager to get to it.

Happy Quilting!

  1. I love it, Jayne!! My husband doesn't understand when I'm up to the wee hours of the morning finishing up a good book....Or a good quilt, for that matter! LOL My daughter is encouraging me to read this series of books; she LOVED them. I have the first one on audio, so maybe I can quilt AND "read" at the same time! :-D

  2. Pinwheels are great. My mom always rolls her eyes at me when I tell her I'd like a quilt with pinwheels. Apparently it's not easy to get all those points to line up perfect.

  3. Loved that series of books... lost the better part of a couple of different weeks getting through all three of them in a row! The movies even do them justice (although you have to read the subtitles... I would definately recommend reading the books first. Helps to fill in a few blanks.)

Obsessions can be a good thing! The quilt is looking fabulous.

  4. That series of books is on my "must read" list. I can easily get lost in good books as well, and DH just doesn't get it. I catch a raised eyebrow now and then.
How boring life must be for people who don't totally dedicate hours of their lives to such wonderful things as reading and quilting. Aren't we just the luckiest folks?

  5. I know just what you mean about the Stieg Larsson series!! I haven't read all night in a long long time but it happened to me too. I just couldn't wait. Isn't it too bad he's gone. No more books from him. And apparently no money is going to his partner/wife. So sad...
