Happy Independence Day, America! July 4th celebrations will be tempered a bit because of our recent weather issues - some folks are in their 5th day without power, while others, even with power, are staying indoors, in the a/c, and out of the near 100-degree heat.
However you are celebrating, hope your fireworks are spectacular, and your watermelon icy-cold and juicy!
I have been working on completing my little patriotic wall-hanging. I've been hand-quilting it. OUCH!! My fingers have had to regain the toughness from a few months ago. It's been awhile since I last hand quilted, so the callouses have all softened.
