Little Boxes

One day last week I showed you my little box made from scraps just taking up space in my sewing room. I couldn't tell you at the time, though, that I was in the process of making 7 more for the girls attending the Canter's Cave retreat this week. These boxes take less than 30 minutes to make, start to finish. I got a little assembly line going which made it even faster.

My fabric box which will be used for thread clippings.

A stack of prepared boxes ready to take to the sewing machine.

Sewn; ready for trimming and turning.

Second box complete; a stack yet to finish.

All turned right side out; time for a good pressing.

Eight little fabric boxes, some with their buttons attached; others waiting in the queue. I took them downstairs to work on while watching ballgames. By the time this posts, they will be gifted. Hopefully, I will remember to take some pictures of the goodies I put inside each little box.

Click here to see my original post about making the first box; it includes a link to where I got the idea. I still have about 6 waiting to be finished. It's a great way to use up fabric scraps as well as batting scraps. Win-win!

Happy Quilting, Friends!
