Quilting Fun

While I love the satisfaction of finishing a quilt, it isn't the only way to have fun with quilting. Fun also comes from the great outings with girlfriends, shopping expeditions with Grandma, or just sitting in my "thoughtful spot" chair perusing magazines and books. The thrill of the next project waiting just there on the horizon...

March Block - Wishes QAL

The quilt along sponsored by Jolly Jabber, the blog of Fat Quarter Shop, is called Wishes. Participation is free, but it is requested that participants make a donation to Make A Wish Foundation. If you go to Jolly Jabber look for the Wishes icon in the sidebar. When you click on that icon, you will find all the necessary details for making the blocks. Here is my March block.

I am so excited to see how this quilt turns out. I love these older Fig Tree fabrics. I bought them in a fat quarter pack way back in 2006, and have had absolutely no plan for them all this time. I do believe I was just waiting on this quilt along to make a perfect match.

Getting all three blocks together made for some weird lighting. Aren't they fun, though? I really like how these blocks are looking. Those sweet, soft colors will be really gorgeous in a quilt, won't they?

Happy Quilting, Friends!

Those fabrics really do make for very pretty blocks. And the blocks themselves look like they would be fun to make.

the blocks look wonderful in that fabric. Very soft and summery somehow.
