Yesterday was the holiday bazaar/craft show in which I participated. It was well-attended, and I sold some stuff. Yeah! It was pretty cool, too! I have mentioned in previous posts that I have very little confidence and experience with sales and marketing; consequently, I was feeling quite unsure of myself in this venture. As it turns out I did a pretty good job of having ample merchandise; I went into the day with a positive attitude; all in all, I had a fun day.
My space was first inside the door, so I greeted visitors as they entered. That was fun as I saw lots of folks I knew and hadn't seen lately. It's always nice to visit.
I sold all the kitchen towels there on the corner of the table. I sold several of the fabric post cards. From about a year and a half ago I had a couple dozen chap stick holders, so I put those out and sold every single one of them. That surprised me. A few of the mug mats sold, but I expected they'd go better.
It's just really hard to know what is going to sell. No quilts, but I had some definite interest. Those people took my card, so maybe there will be a sale in the future. None of the pillows sold, which I 'd sorta' thought they would appeal.
Now that the bazaar is over, I will direct my attention to the t-shirt quilt I need to be finishing. It will hopefully go to the quilter on Tuesday.
This next week will have some fun sewing days. On Tuesday, Terry is having the girls in for a day of stitching and on Wednesday, we have our annual Veterans' Day sewing at Sherrie's. FUN!! I would love to start a new project, and I have several options swirling around in my head. Stay tuned.

Craft Show aka Holiday Bazaar
This Saturday is the craft show I've signed up to do. I don't know if I'm ready or not.
Details of the show, if you live in the vicinity and would like to come take a look:

Holiday Bazaar/Craft Show
Greenfield Area Christian Center, 912 N. Fifth Street, Greenfield
9am - 5pm
Sponsored by the Buckskin Community Church
I will have some high-end items like quilt tops for sale. And for budget shoppers I will have table runners, place mats, kitchen towels, post cards, mug mats and more. Not a lot of any one thing, but just enough of a variety of things.
In other news, for 2 days I have forgotten to remind you to check out the Bloggers' Quilt Festival at Amy's Creative Side. She has been keeping this very busy online quilt show in order for your viewing and voting pleasure! I have entered my Long Road Home (shown above) in the Hand Quilted Category, and would absolutely love it if you'd click on over there to give it a vote. I am somewhere over 100 votes behind the leader. All the same, it's nice getting votes, I have to admit.
I need to be off to the sewing room to get some final projects completed! Hope you have a fantastic Tuesday!

More Bazaar Work
When I agreed to set up a table at the local holiday bazaar coming up on November 7, I made a mental goal to try to make at least one thing a day between then and the day of the bazaar. That was about a month of inventory-building.
There have been several days when I've not made anything, but there have been more days where I've made lots. Yesterday, I worked on a few kitchen towels.
This one required a bit of embroidery work. Most did not. Embroidery is not one of my fortes, honestly, but I have done a bit of it over the years. Since these shapes had already been fused to the towel (when did I DO that???), I decided to finish it and use it for the bazaar.
I need advice on how to price items and how to "market" myself - these are areas in which I don't feel especially confident. Maybe I will get it figured out.
