History Day Quilting

On Saturday, I had an opportunity to demonstrate quilting at Greenfield's annual History Day celebration sponsored by the Greenfield Historical Society. It's the 4th year that I have done this, and I don't see myself getting tired of it at all. I actually have a lot of fun because I get to visit with so many folks, in addition to accomplishing a good bit of quilting. People have lots of memories that they like to share, and it seems there are a lot of quilt tops out there that have been left from previous generations. I heard more than a couple of such quilt tops, and offered suggestions for quilting.

My little corner of History Day is pictured here. I had plenty of good lighting, and it was a busy intersection for people who were entering a room where an extensive photo display was housed.

This is a bit of a closer view. I have Long Road Home in the quilting frame. In the smaller frame on the back corner, I have a little doll quilt called Starry Night. Hanging on the door knob is my Mondo Bag, which got lots of compliments.

I plan on keeping the quilting frame downstairs and in the family room, where I can stitch more regularly. I'd really like to get this quilt finished.

Happy Quilting, Friends!
