The Frankfort Girls are always in for a fun treat when we go to Jan's and we were not disappointed last Friday when we met at her house. All of us would agree that of the 7 of us, Jan is the party planner extraordinaire.
The table was set with a theme of buffalo checks, cardinals and evergreens - all motifs in her table runner. Note the backs of the chairs - topped with buffalo check Santa hats.
Our buffalo check plates were set up with a Christmas tree-shaped apple danish alongside a battery operated tree ornament.
We each had a mug filled with candies, a note pad and a cardinal ornament.
Breakfast consisted of mini-quiches and . . .
monkey pull-apart bread!
Not only did Jan go the extra mile as a hostess, she also had a rather significant finish to share. I don't know how many of us have ever done a bargello quilt, but Jan finished this one and it looks amazing. I don't think I have the stamina to attempt one, but I sure love looking at them. Jan's looks better in person than in my picture. Maybe the lighting washed out the true, more vibrant colors.
Happy Quilting, Friends!
Jan's bargello looks wonderful! Bargello quilts look more challenging than they really are.
